Financial help to launch Learn to Live!
The Devon Education Fund is financed through benefits received from the Joint Venture between Devon County Council and Babcock LDP. It aims to provide £50k on an annual basis to fund ambitious and innovative ideas that will benefit learners in Devon from 0-25 years of age. It opens up opportunities for schools, organisations and educational projects to generate new ideas and approaches to improve the lives of children and young people.
Learn to Live made a bid for £20,000 and made a presentation on its bid to a panel made up of representatives from DAPH (Devon Association of Primary Headteachers), DASH (Devon Association of Secondary Headteachers), SHAD (Special School Headteachers Association Devon) and DAG (Devon Association of Governors) against the criteria below:
- how the activity will contribute to educational innovation and excellence
- how the activity will raise standards, improve quality or build capacity
- how activity will be sustained and developed beyond, the life of the project
- how the activity will be evaluated, and how learning will be shared more widely
The bid was agreed in June 2014 and this webpage, the conferences and the development work are now being supported by that funding.
